We are looking for an experienced and motivated Full Time Assistant Manager to join the PLG team at The Cumberland in Pascoe Vale. Your management skills will be used in supporting the achievement of set financial targets, leading and inspiring the team, co-creating the best experiences for our clients and ensuring compliance with all external bodies.
A new chapter begins at The Cumberland. Located on Cumberland Road in Pascoe Vale, The Cumberland is the reimagining of the former Pascoe Vale RSL â built around the idea of a true neighbourhood pub where locals can gather, share a drink and feel at home.

What will my duties include?
- Assisting with the achievement of set financial targets.
- Stock control and management.
- Ensure front-of-house ambiance and appearance are appropriate at all times.
- Staff management including; rostering, training, and performance management.
- Coordination, execution, and evaluation of promotions.
- Manage venue auditing and compliance requirements.
The role you are applying for may be quite fast-paced and require you to complete tasks including but not limited to lifting boxes, kegs or stock, standing for long periods of time, and utilising stairs.
What we are looking for:
- Previous experience in a hospitality leadership or management role
- Strong understanding of venue operations and customer service
- A positive, hands-on and team-focused leadership style
- Ability to work well in fast-paced environments
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Knowledge of gaming and compliance requirements is highly regarded
- Flexibility to work across a rotating roster including nights, weekends and public holidays

- Current Victorian RSA
- Current Victorian RSG
- Current Victorian Gaming Employee Licence
- Do Food Safely and Food Allergens Certificate
- Full Australian working rights
